The Nutcracker Suite: A Christmas Story, by Peter Ilyich Tchakovsky

The family favorite for Christmas!

 

Mr. Watson, is a seasoned Classical Pianist and Composer, and a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School of Music i New York City, where he shared the recital stages with Van Cliburn. Mr. Watson's teachers included the wel known James Friskin and Alexander Lipsky.

Mr. Watson comes to you from the stages of Carnegie Recital Hall, Aeolian Hall in New York, Garden Arts Center in New Jersey and many, many other locations within the U.S. and Europe.

Mr. Watson has created a unique presentation, a magical lecture and performance built around the music of the Nutcracker, as well as, the story and life of it's composer, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Mr. Watson will perform selections from the music of the Nutcracker ballet and tell the story.

Interesting commentary will be shared about how the ballet was created, when and where it was first performed, the "newly-invented instrument" used in the performance, as well as some new insights about Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and what he went through to create this work.
